We have created a friendly and informal atmosphere over the years at The Dukes Head and our accommodation is as individual as you are. We have five cosy bedrooms each can accommodate up to two people, some have televisions, some don’t, but they all have private bathroom facilities whether connected to your room or not. All our rooms have tea and coffee making facilities and Tunnocks wafers!!! and shortbread, we provide shampoo, body lotion, soap and fluffy towels for your stay. Should you forget your razor, toothbrush or even your slippers we can supply these for you individually wrapped.

The cost of your room includes a full English breakfast using as much local produce as possible.

We are happy to make up a packed lunch for you and lend you a flask for a hot drink. Well-behaved dogs are more than welcome, however a few common sense rules apply! We ask that they are kept out of our main bar and dining areas and are not fed in your room.

We have drying facilities for those of you enjoying outdoor pursuits and lockable storage for cycles.

Beyond our car park is our garden with its beautiful mature trees, which are at their best when in blossom. In the summer months we have plenty of chairs and tables for you to sit out and enjoy a drink or bite to eat.

A public telephone is available as not all mobile Telephones work in the village.

We have a well-stocked shop and post office in the village for newspapers, postcards and maybe a gift to take home.
