We pride ourselves on providing a warm welcome, friendly and efficient service and above all good food. Our civilised Last Cast Lounge bar has oak settles, antique chairs and tables along with traditional décor and antique hunting & sporting prints as well as our collection of brass and copper powder flasks above the fire place with its roaring coal fire in the winter.
Whilst our lounge bar is more traditional, we like to think our light and airy dinning room is a little more elegant and formal but still retaining a relaxed atmosphere.
We are open for lunch daily from noon until 1.45pm and in the evenings from 6.30pm until 9.00pm and always open for morning coffees and a cup of tea in the afternoon (or perhaps something stronger should you prefer!)
Our menu is best described as being traditional with a few up to date touches. We try to use as much local produce as we can, not only to support local producers but mainly because of the exceptional quality and taste. On our daily special board we try to include seasonal produce such as game in season, Sea trout from the Solway and local fruit and vegetables. Please feel free to have just soup and a sandwich or go the whole hog and have three courses, coffee and wine!!

We have two comfortable bar areas - The Retreat, traditionally used by the locals for a pint and the crack after work often including a game of darts and dominoes.
Most people prefer to eat in the Last Cast Lounge with its comfortable armchairs and open fire. We have a small yet comprehensive wine list featuring Red and White wines from The New World and Europe. Our bar is well stocked with popular lines of both alcoholic and soft drinks and from time to time we have homemade liqueurs and cordials which prove to be very popular.
Throughout the year we have speciality evenings such as:-
- Feast of Eden- using locally sourced foods
- French evening- a traditional French Menu
- Suckling Pig Nights
